Answered Prayer

Couple of weeks back I auditioned for a christmas presentation, and last thursday I was informed that I was accepted... Wow!!! It was my first audition, I was nervous and infact I didn't have any piece with me. I don't sing professionally nor been part of any choir or group... hanggang videoke lang ako hehehe or kung mag-isa, wow talaga! I remember praying to God na "sya na bahala sa akin, if its part of His plan then be it". Thanks be to God talaga.

Well I just got home from choir reheasals and never had I thought that singing would be tiring hehehe. I think everyong there already had choir experience before... kaya medyo in-awe ako... pero all of them were friendly naman :D I'm still trying to get a feel of the song, the tone, the rhythm... argh! Kainis lang because I can't read notes hehehe. O well, probably buy a tape recorder and record our rehearsals.

Well, this is but another chapter in my life na I will surely cherish... don't know where this will lead me... pero everything I do at this point is for God and sya na bahala... Hmmm, I started out this blog to express my thoughts and feelings because of a particullar event (I'll be sharing it tomorrow). I'm amazed at the events that has transpired after that... God really do answer prayers... If you pray the "right" one. Amazing!

An old poem

I'd like to share with you one of my poems that I wrote way way back...

Cherish each moment you are here,
Reading your moves and hope to be near.
Is it my destiny for you to be by my side?
Sometimes I feel I must hide.
Time will tell when we will meet,
In those imaginings I think it’s neat.
Nothing in this world will make my feelings fade,
One look on your face and my world is free from shade.

Very often I think of you,
In my mind I know it’s true.
Love has taken my heart by surprise
Lost in a cloud that’s covering my eyes,
Although I dream to be your prince,
Restless emotions have haunted me since.
Recalling the first time I saw your face,
Everything about you seems to put me in a daze.

Now I wonder all the time,
Questions bugging me like some lost rhyme.
Do you feel the way I feel for you?
Please answer me, please give me a clue.
Don’t get offended by the things I said,
If there is nothing can we still be friends?
But in my heart I know it’s true,

FYI, this poem is also my very first musical composition, yep nilagyan ko ng tune! Super dali lang ng chords... it's G - Am - C - D... I'll see if I can record it para ma-try ninyo hehehe. La lang... Just wanted to share something that I treasure so much! :)

Congratulations!

Well welcome to my very first blog! It's a saturday morning and I'm getting ready to attend the graduation rites. Hmmm, ang bilis talaga ng panahon! Couple of years back, I've seen these students come into my classroom, I've seen them blossom from naive froshies to mature seniors and now graduates... getting ready to face the challenges of "real life".

Gezz, I feel so old... hehehe... I can remember my own graduation... waking up at around 5:30am, putting on my toga... going to the PICC... grabe!!! Hehehe, and of course the incredible "sigh" after the whole event (finally graduate na ako!!!) and syempre the slowly creeping up fear of "what the heck will I be doing next?".

To the batch 2004. Congrats!!! This is the start of "real" life... the "real" world... college is supposed to have prepared you for this... I know you guys can do it! Believe in yourself! Strive to succeed! This is where you reach for your dreams and build your future!

By the way, to my former students... "wag nyo akong tatawagin na sir ha! if we see each other... di ko na kayo students! Norman or Norms will do" hehehe. Well, congratulations again! Good luck and God bless.
